“A Righteous Youth Generation for a Secure Future”
The Kiribathgoda Kelaniya Young Buddhist Association is not merely an organization, but a center that nurtures the spiritual and social values of the youth in the area. In a challenging era like the present, it is a timely necessity to guide the energy of youth onto the right path through the noble principles taught in Buddhism.
Appreciating the Service of the Association
Since its inception, our association has been engaged in:
Dhamma propagation: Spreading the essence of Buddhism among the younger generation.
Social service: Providing relief to underprivileged and struggling communities in the area.
Personality development: Producing disciplined citizens with strong leadership qualities.
The association carries out religious, social, educational, and cultural services based on five main objectives:
To provide facilities for learning and spreading Buddhism.
To encourage and inspire the practical application of Buddhist teachings.
To promote unity and cooperation among the Buddhist community.
To develop moral, cultural, physical, and social qualities among Buddhists.
To protect and promote Buddhism.
While fulfilling these objectives, I, as a guiding monk, recall with great appreciation the dedication of the Kiribathgoda Kelaniya Young Buddhist Association towards noble causes.
Vision for the Future
I urge the young members of the association to embrace technology and modernity while striving to preserve their identity rooted in Buddhist values. No matter how rapidly the world changes, a Buddhist way of life based on compassion, loving-kindness, and patience will never become outdated.
“Attānaṃ damayanti paṇḍitā” – The wise discipline themselves.
With these noble goals in mind, I bless the Kiribathgoda Kelaniya Young Buddhist Association with the strength and courage needed to move forward with even greater determination.
May the Triple Gem bless you!
